Jim, glad you are aboard. A non-baseball question: are you familiar with the "Orbiter" spaceflight simulation? link here: http://orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk/
Here's a little intro to my background: I've been simming baseball leagues since I was about 10! It all started with a card and dice game that my Dad invented and I tweaked and joined in. Fictitious players and with 6 teams and 30 game seasons took a long time to sim by hand and keep stats, but it gave me a chance to study the game and I did lots of math while keeping the stats which helped me become a scientist later in life (well, that and an interest in the Apollo moonlandings).
After college (didn't do much simming then - too busy!), I got back into simming with early computer baseball games like Earl Weaver Baseball and later the FPS baseball games and that is when I found the online baseball sim community which included stints in "The S.H.O.W." and most recently the XIBL. Before finding EWBB, I even tried to write my own baseball sim on my PC (a PC-AT compatible 286 machine, as I recall), but never got very far with it, so I'm glad for guys like Shaun who has done such an excellent job in creating PureSim - Thanks Shaun!

Anyway, talk to you soon! Hopefully you'll make the chat tonight...unless you're too busy chasing asteroids!
