Any other sports for Puresum?
I know that the guy who now runs Puresim's development house is a baseball fanatic. What I am wondering is what other sports would benefit from the Puresim treatment.
One obvious one that comes to my mind is pro basketball. Although the game management interface would be complex, I'd love to see a game for basketball that does many of the things Puresim does. Hockey also comes up in my mind.
Football? It would be interesting, but a daunting task indeed. And getting meaningful data on defensive players and linemen would be difficult.

Personally I would vote in the order of Hockey, Football, Basketball and then Soccer - based on my own game likes :-) But Football as you say is less easy to get stats for individuals however have a look at what SAT V5 does to see whats possible..........and I guess many have tried variations of the Soccer theme !

Indeed. Worldwide Soccer Manager 2008 is high on my wish list for next month (it comes out next week). Soccer managament sims are a scene all their own, and are notable for the fact that not only do you have to win but you have to please your board. Failure means you "get the sack" and have to find another job.
Every time I try to GM the 1916 Red Sox (I've tried twice now) I'm amazed I didn't get canned.
